The Perennial Forest was known for its majestic trees and year-round vivid green leaves. Plenty of small elvish villages existed in harmony with nature. However, it all ended three hundred years ago, when the Army of Darkness devastated it during its way to siege the human fortress-city of Bydel. The following battle became a decisive point in history: thanks to the appearance of an almighty warrior to lead the joint army of humans, elves and dwarves, they managed to push back the hordes of darkness, pursuing and slaying them in the forest. Such was the bloodshed that the leaves of the trees were forever tainted, and thus became known as the Crimson Forest. No one ventures there now, since spirits of the death still wander looking for revenge.
A few elf children survived the massacre. It was the legendary human hero, who then became king of the new-founded Kingdom of Aetheron, who saved them. Those orphans were since known as the Agarwaen (blood-stained), and committed themselves to fight darkness to avenge their kin. The few who stood out in martial arts were taken in by the army of Aetheron and have been serving the king since then. And thus is the origin of the small, mysterious guild Hagakure - a small elite squad that can rival even armies, led by Aerion, the king’s most loyal and fiercest warrior.
